MAYBELLINE Tattoo Liner Gel Pencil

Deep Onyx 

I got this after Gemma said "It’s the best eyeliner pencil full stop" and I can confirm she is 100% right. I got this to wear in my waterline as I don't wear such pencils on my lash line and use liquid liner instead. It's very similar to Avon's Supershock in terms of formula - intense black, very pigmented, soft and transfers with ease into the waterline. This lasted 14 hours on my waterline - not smudged between the lashes like all liners like to end up after an hour or two, but on the actual waterline. It's seriously good and easily available, which is an extra plus. I've tried it on the top lash line too and it transferred a bit, though it wasn't too bad on my normal eyelids, but it might not work on oily ones.

*ESSENCE Eyeshadow

Over a decade ago I bought my first Essence eyeshadow called Teddy and trying this (I don't know which version of) updated single eyeshadow it's so great to see just how much Essence's quality has improved. Mine is a metallic shade which I've seen Cosnova make a good quality before and they again managed to create a pretty much foiled, very pigmented shade. It's better quality than their Metal Chrome formula, as it's more pigmented and has smaller shimmer particles. I find this is the only metallic eyeshadow that works better with brushes than fingers. It blends ok, but not as effortlessly as Milani's. I wore if for 14 hour as a test and it creased, but a lot of the colour was still on (I didn't use a primer). For the price is a good buy and Essence has come a long way, but there's still room for improvement.

*ESSENCE The Eyebrow Pen 

01 Blonde

I never wear any eyebrow products, in fact I don't ever tweeze my brows because I just don't care about that, but recently I've accidentally bleached a part of my eyebrow on my right side (and a bit of my lashes too), so I was glad to see this in my PR parcel. My eyebrows are very cool, almost dark grey medium taupe colour and this is just too warm for me, though it's not too light by much. It's a semi-permanent formula that promises to tint the skin and last a while. I can report that some of the colour does indeed remain for a couple of days, but a reapplication is needed for restoring intensity. It's in a form of a sharpie and the ridged design is a nice idea, except unfortunately the tips dry very fast, so it's better to apply the colour with the wide part. Colour is semi-opaque, and the blonde shade is as is often the case for cheap brow products, a pale reddish brown once it oxidises. It tints my eyebrows into a much warmer shade than it's naturally and I think a lot of blondes will not love this colour. It's a nice idea with the semi-permanent formula, but it needs some more work to get it perfect.

*ESSENCE This is Me Lipstick

01 Freaky and 04 Crazy

Essence created an big collection of nude shades for all skin tones which includes lipsticks and matching nail polish shades. I'm not sure if I've ever said this about an Essence classic lipstick, but I'm quite impressed by the quality of these two. They are very smooth and creamy at application with a semi-matte finish and a non-drying texture. Staying power is improved based on my experience with Essence lipsticks, though I won't claim it's incredible. I really like the colour of both of these, surprisingly 01 Freaky, the nude peachy-pink is my favourite of the two and based on the colour of the tube I expected this to look a pale orange shade, but I'm very glad that's not the case. It's a very pretty nude that I've been wearing a lot. 04 Crazy is also more muted and paler than it appears in the tube, it reminds me of their discontinued Mat Mat Mat! 04 Wow Effect, which is a similar muted berry. Sometimes it looks cool on me and sometimes neutral-warm, it's kind of a strange shade in that respect. They have that sweet fruity vanilla scent that's common in a lot of their lipsticks and it's quite strong. I love they with a rose gold tube, but the white cap was a big miss because it gets dirty very fast.

*ESSENCE This is Me Gel Nail Polish

01 Freaky and 04 Crazy

Essence knows how to make a great nail polish formula and these are no exception. Both are one coaters, so very pigmented and also so much smoother than regular nail polishes. They lack in the shine department, so I need Seche Vite on top. 01 Freaky is a muted peachy nude with a slight rose touch and 05 is a medium-dark muted rosy-mauve. Both are darker than both of their lipstick equivalents.

 *L'ORÉAL Volume Million Lashes Mascara

I've had this many years ago when I was in my first years of blogging and I was raving about it, but I've found better favourites since then and now that I'm giving it a second try, I'm not sure why I liked it so much. It definitely wins in the length department because it creates very long lashes, however, I've been using it for a week or two now and freshly opened that million lashes it promises turned more into 20 lashes when I started to layer it. It's getting better, but still it's not fanning out the lashes like my current favourite mascaras. I remember liking this one because it was able to catch every lash, creating that "multiplying effect" and now I'm not getting that. Maybe it needs to be opened for longer to thicken or dry a bit, but so far I'm just not feeling this one. It drops my lashes like a stone -big minus, but I used to have the waterproof version and I remember it being quite good, however, you know Essence is cheaper and I love I <3 Extremes so much, so I never got it again.

L'ORÉAL Infallible More Than Concealer 

326 Vanilla

This caught my attention in the drugstores a couple of months ago, but since I have five other full coverage concealers, I wasn't even in the market for a new one, but I'm glad I got this, so I can test it and let you know if it's worth it. The applicator is huge, similar to the applicator on a Deborah foundation and I was excited to try it, but I'm not loving it. Small applicators are just easier to use and also at this one I never get the formula all over the applicator, instead it collects on the tip. Formula is one of the thickest I've tried and I think it's also most high-covering one, though it might share it's place with The Saem. It's not easy to blend and it needs extra effort, also it feels and looks heavy on the skin. Sometimes it looks ok, then sometimes it's too much for me and though it usually looks ok on the skin, on pictures it almost always ends up looking so heavy and cakey. It creases under my eyes and it emphasises lines, but covers really well. The shade vanilla is light enough for me, it's just a touch too yellow for my neutral skin tone. It's not my favourite, but I'll keep on giving it a try and report back.

L'ORÉAL Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick 

114 Represent

Deceptively red in the tube, this is a bright magenta and one of those annoying staining ones that you just can't get rid off your skin (though that's how I feel about such products, while some will adore them precisely because of that). This is almost exactly the same as some discontinued Catrice liquid stain lipstick called Made to stay Smoothing Lip Polish. It's not a proper matte liquid lipstick, it's closer to a stain type of product and it's semi-sheer in one coat. It's not matte from the start, instead it's glossy and as it's wearing off it becomes a matte stain. It outlasts everything and you can only get the magenta stain off with vigorous scrubbing and an oil remover. I always get annoyed by that magenta tint, but it's what makes the shade last so long. I've went to check other shades and I'm not feeling the selection. Most are bright shades and the two neutrals are too brown and one is a cool mauve that leaves exactly the same stain as this magenta shade. The packaging is very nice with the matte finish and a heart shaped applicator. I love matte liquid lipsticks, but this isn't for me.

OPI Nail Lacquers Lisbon Spring/Summer Collection

Lisbon wants moor OPI, Closer than you might Belém and Sun, sea and sand in my pants

These are classic nail polishes, though these shades are also available in the gel version. I'm no longer impressed by regular formulas, though OPI always delivers quality, but compared to gel formulas these are more fickle to apply and less shiny. Lisbon wants moor OPI is a very pale off-white violet-pink. It's a pastel, but one that's not overly difficult to work with. It needs two to three coats and it reminds of a much better version of Essie's Fiji (my nightmare shade). It's been on my nails since I got these. Closer than you might Belém is a turquoise shade that again reminds me of a worse performing Essie called Turquoise & Caicos. It's the best performing of the three and needs two coats. Sun, sea and sand in my pants is a bright yellow with orange tones. It needs two, occasionally three coats.

SKINFOOD Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

A repurchase. This is my favourite scrub, though it is very harsh, but it's the only one that makes my skin feel super smooth, as no amount or strength of AHA product can do that for me. They recommend to use it as a mask, but I never have the time to leave it on for 10 minutes, since I always use it in the shower. It's not something I'd recommend for sensitive skin, but I love it.

Another repurchase, previously named Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence. I've been using this every day for over a year now and it has improved the texture of my skin. One of the differences I notice is that my makeup applies so much more smoothly since I started using this and my pores look less severe.

And another repurchase. These are the only spot treatment that do something. Sometimes they heal the blemish completely and sometimes they just reduce it and help it heal faster. These are different sizes in the packaging, but I wish they were all the large size, as the mini ones tend to be too small.

TIAM My Signature C Source

Since I didn't get much effect from the Rohto Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Essence, I got this instead due to overwhelmingly positive reviews. It's a lot more fickle to use because you have to keep it in the fridge, it's sticky and makes it harder to apply skin care on top, so I'm not sure about it yet. I want to see some proper results before I say how much I like it, but so far it's been a month and I don't see anything, so I'm a bit frustrated with this one. I apply it after cleansing and let it absorb for at least 15 minutes before applying anything else, otherwise you're just wasting vitamin C products. It's got 20% Ascorbic Acid and a lot of alcohol, and when it dropped on my arm once, I noticed in a hour that it dried to a yellow powder. It's a liquid gel that starts to feel very sticky and thick as it's drying on the skin, but after 15 minutes, it's absorbed enough to apply other products. When I started using it, it tingled after application, but now I'm completely used to it. One big minus is that my hands always smell like a self tanner when I use this and the smell doesn't go away which it annoys the hell out of me. In terms of effect, like I said, I can't report back about amazing brightening results, not even on dark circles where I expected to see a bit of improvement. Also old blemish marks aren't fading any faster, but I'm giving it time like I'm supposed to and at least it might be providing something extra to sun protection.

BEAUTY OF JOSEON Dynasty Cream

I finally ordered this after I had a generous sample sometime last year. I got this as my night moisturizer because it's not the lightest, though it's a gel cream that's very easy to apply. It takes time to sink in, so I prefer to use it at night, but it can be used under makeup with no problems on my normal-dry skin. It has great ingredients, niacinamide is 4th on the list and it also has hyaluronic acid, adenosine and plenty of extracts. When I was using a sample morning and night for a couple of weeks, my skin really loved it. I'm not sure if niacinamide had any effect, but my skin just looked a picture of health - it had that lovely healthy radiance, zero spots or other pore problems and it felt comfortable. It instantly became my favourite moisturiser and I hope I get the same effects second time round. The scent strangely floral musky and it's strong , but you get used to it.

HOLIKA HOLIKA Good Cera Super Ceramide Emulsion

I got this after I had a generous sample and it worked well with my skin. I use it in my morning routine because it sinks in quickly and I can easily apply sunscreen and makeup over it. It contains ceramides which strengthen the skin's barrier and it's a product that's designed for sensitive skin. It's a lotion type of product that still needs some time to absorb, but it's light and nicely moisturising. The packaging is very big with a generous 130 ml, so it should last me a while.

BALEA Erfrischendes Wasch Gel

A repurchase. I really like this new formulation and I think it's better than the one before, though it's almost exactly the same apart from the scent. I read reviews on meindm.at which are surprisingly very bad for this reformulation and I don't get why, but I hope this version stays. It's a simple gel cleanser that doesn't foam much, and I use it after cleansing with an oil cleanser.

*MIXA Cica-Cream

Mixa made their own Cica formula with glycerine and 5% panthenol which is designed for assisting regeneration and repairing of targeted areas. They recommend using to treat areas where the skin is very dry and rough, as well as for bug bites or to treat any irritated areas. Formula is thick and needs a lot of time to absorb, similar to Bepanthen creams, but at this one you notice the silicones which make the application smoother. I've immediately put it to the test on one of my elbows (for some reason my skin is extremely dry and rough just on one) and after one use there was some improvement in the morning. It wasn't a miraculous transformation, but with prolonged use I might get somewhere with this (my other thick creams like BBW Ultra Sheas and TBS Body Butters couldn't cut it). I've also started using in on my very dry soles, but since my skin is so thick there, I've yet to see anything truly impressive. I'm going to include this into my regular routine for those two areas and you'll probably hear how it fared long term in an empties post, but so far I like it. By the way, it's not exactly the same as Bepanthen as it can't be used on fresh cuts. One thing that bothers me is the packaging. I'd prefer a metal tube because now I feel like a half is empty and it's not easy to squeeze out a small amount.

My usual repurchase. I haven't bought any other spray deodorant in years. I'm a fan of the feminine powdery scent and it's got this powdery particles that I find work in keeping me dry longer. They changed the packaging recently and I quite like it.

These are not nearly as soft as Scholls, but because they are half cheaper I like to keep a pair just in case or when I have a shoes that are too big for me (36 in Slovenia is a size bigger and much wider than in the UK), I put two layers of gel pads with the cheap on as a "base" and the soft Scholl ones on top.

I'm so spoiled by the Bath & Body Works gels that this feels like a big downgrade. The scent is so bland with mostly a hibiscus fragrance that's a lot more gentle than BBWs. But it's easy to find and Balea is at least trying with some scents. I don't get the rubbery casing, but you can't get it without it. It's meant to be attached to the school bag and I guess you could use it on your keys, but it's so big compared to the more conveniently size BBWs.

*ORIFLAME Giordani Gold MasterCreation Foundation SPF 18

Rose Porcelain Cool

Oriflame launched a few new Giordani Gold products and this foundation is their newest formula. The only Oriflame base I had was a tinted moisturiser about 10-15 years ago (it was my very first such product) and I remember it being very orange, so I was a bit concerned Oriflame's shade ranges run dark. Good news: they actually have shades for us Snow Whites. I was very happy to discover that and I believe this is the first PR foundation whose shade actually fits me. This formula is promises an anti-aging effect and a natural finish, it contains no alcohol. It feels light on the skin and it provides about light-medium coverage that can be built up. Finish is dewy-glowy, as you might expect for a foundation meant for mature skin and it's indeed as promised natural looking, so it's one of those foundations that it's hard to tell you're wearing anything, but your skin looks better. It's the type of foundation I like and in a shade that fits me, so I'm very pleased with this one. It's heavily scented, which doesn't bother me, but it could be a problem for those with more sensitive skin.

*ORIFLAME Giordani Gold MasterCreation Lipstick

Delicate Pink

I just love the high-end look of the packaging on this one. I picked the shade myself based on the swatches in the catalogue and it's quite accurate. I went for a wearable natural pinky-peach shade, just something I know I'll use. This formula promises an anti-aging effect, it contains a peptide and has a SPF 20. It's a standard lipstick, so not my usual preferred matte finish, but I liked this straight away. It's not one of those overly creamy formulas like most non-matte formulas tend to be, instead it's almost semi-matte, or better said satin. Formula is more firm than what I'm used to, but not in a waxy way and it glides on the lips with no problems. I actually prefer it being less creamy, as it's easier to control the application. It feels comfortable on the lips, I didn't even feel it on when I was wearing it. Given it's not matte I didn't expect it to last long, but I was surprised to see it still going strong after several hours.

*ORIFLAME Giordani Gold Bronzing Pearls

Natural Radiance

I didn't expect this to be so strongly pigmented and I also thought the shade is going to be more pink, at least that's how the beads looked in the catalogue. It's actually a warm peachy shade and not really a bronzer, as it's definitely a blush shade (swatches are in a highlighted story on Instagram). There are four shades of pearls inside: a cool light pink, dark warm pink, light bronze/tan and a champagne colour. Pigmentation is so strong I need to use my fluffiest brush, so these are more meant for someone with a darker and warmer skin tone than mine. Staying power is impressive, but it's not surprising given how pigmented these are. The colour blends nicely on the skin with no patchiness.

*ORIFLAME Miss Giordani Intense

For me this is almost purely a neroli fragrance. It reminds me of some L'Occitane neroli scent they have/had, which had that similar very bright, sweet floral scent that reminds me a bit of red berries. Though it's quite sweet from the start, this is a mature scent and musk seems to be the strongest base note, while woody notes are less intense. It's a very sweet floral scent on a base that reminds me of "old school" classic fragrances that were popular in the 90's, such as Poeme by Lancome. It’s a strong fragrance from the start, but it loses power quickly and becomes more of a skin scent, so this is not the most long-lasting fragrance or at least one you'd notice/smell on yourself for long. The bottle is beautiful with nice a classic design and a gold cap which holds very tight.

*DEBORAH 24 Ore Extra Cover 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer

The newest foundation by Deborah which similarly to Milani's Conceal + Perfect claims it can be used both as a foundation and concealer, meaning it's a typical matte high coverage formula like for example Revlon's Colorstay. It's one the most matte formulas I've tried so far and it's way too much for my normal/combination skin that rarely has any shine, so this foundation makes my skin look flat and emphasises lines. However, though it doesn't fit me, I think those with very oily skin might really like this. It claims to have pore minimising capabilities, but I find it doesn't look good over my pores and I have better foundations for that in my collection. The main feature of the packaging is the big doe foot applicator, which I quite like (even though I know it's unhygienic) and another thing I like is the scent, which though it's heavy, smells like creamy almonds and it reminds me of L'Occitane's Almond body cream. I have three shades:

0 Fair Rose - a medium shade that is nowhere near being fair and it has an orange tinge to it. It's about a shade darker than Catrice HD Liquid Foundation 010.

01 Fair - a bit lighter than 0, but more importantly more neutral. It looks like a far better shade in general because the undertone isn't strong.

03 Sand - two shades darker than the other two and with a warm undertone.

 *MAX FACTOR Radiant Lift Foundation

75 Golden Honey and 79 Honey Beige

I got two of the darkest shades available here and no amount of TBS drops can properly lighten either of the shades, so I'm not sure if I'll review these because I can't wear them without looking utterly stupid. This formula is marketed as foundation for mature skin, meaning it promise a radiant finish. I must say that if this came in a shade for me (the lightest here is much too dark as well, I checked), I'd probably like it a lot because it creates a radiant finish without leaving having that sticky, never full dry to the touch finish. Coverage is medium or possibly medium-full, but I can't really say because the shades are too dark and I can't really tell for certain. This sets on the skin quickly, so it feels dry to the touch, but it has that healthy reflect/glow to it. If you check the bottle towards the light, there is gold shimmer visible in the formula, but it's not visible on the skin. Such a shame this is only sold in such dark shades here, I'd love to try it properly. 18 shades in total are available, we only have 5 or 6 I think, starting with 40 Light Ivory (3 precede this shade).

 ECOTOOLS Precision Blush Brush 

I've had the old Ecotools blush brush for years and it has served me well (still will because it's in great condition), so I trust this brand when it comes to brushes and I got another one. Unlike my previous one which is tapered, this one is more of a classic round design, while the sizes are the same. It's as usual for Ecotools very soft and this one pick up less product than my old one, the back of the box mentions it's meant for a medium application of blush. It applies and blends the blush as it should, so I'm happy with it and I'll probably get some more of these new ones at some point.

SKINFOOD Black Sugar Honey Mask Wash Off 

I loved this from the moment I opened it. I'm a fan of honey scents, but apart from L'Occitane who stupidly discontinued their entire line, there proper honey scents are so rare and most smell very bland. I've had this on my wishlist for ages, however, I read it smells like hot toddy, so a spicy version of honey and I delayed purchasing it. If only I'd know this is one of the best honey scents I've found, I'd buy it sooner. This is a version of the Black Sugar scrub which I also have and it's amazing as nothing makes my skin so soft and smooth as that, but it is a very harsh scrub and not for anyone with sensitive skin. This also contains sugar, but much less of it and honey almost works as a cushion, so this feels much less harsh. In fact, this is more of a nourishing mask than a proper scrub, though it'll still so some of the job. This leaves the skin moisturised and nourished, so it's great especially for dry skin, but it'll fit most skin types.

CEZANNE Skin Conditioner High Moist

I've had a very generous sample of this that my reader sent me and it lasted me a couple of months and in that time this has become one of my most treasured skin care products. It's hardly an exciting product that would make great changes quickly, but it's a fantastic hydrating product that contains ceramides, Job's Tears extract, 3 types of hyaluronic acid, collagen and amino acids. It comes in a massive 500 ml bottle, sadly unlike Kikumasamune it doesn't have a pump, but just a regular flip cap, but at least it's easy to control and you're not pouring too much of the stuff. My skin likes this a lot more than Kikumasamune (my skin is much clearer with it) and it's not scented, so it's also better for those with sensitive skin.

Natto (tightening) and Black Pearl (brightening)

I got a full pack of Black Pearl version which I've talked loads about before and I consider them some of my favourites. The formula of these evens out the skin and just makes the it look its very best. I also got one Natto version which promises a tightening effect and is one of their most sold versions of these classic sheet masks. I've already used natto and I liked it. It wasn't as impressive as Black Pearl, but it had a nice milky essence that absorbed fast and it left my skin feeling nourished and looking better, less bland. I didn't notice a massive tightening effect, but all the extra moisture filled my lines for a couple of hours.

A repurchase of one of my favourites. I already reviewed this here. It's great for healing, toning down inflammation and it's nourishing. I loved how my skin felt and looked after using this one, so I got more. I've tried all versions of The Solution masks and my favourites are this one, Pearl and Ceramide (Vitamin C is also nice, but soo sticky).

ETUDE HOUSE 0.2 Therapy Air Sheet Mask

Madecassoside (soothing), Ceramide (moisturising) and Pearl (brightening)

I'm a fan of the thin sheets of these, while formulas differ. My favourite so far is Snail, but I wasn't happy with Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen. Madecassoside is a new addition to the line and I got it because I love the TFS version. Ceramides tend to work great for me too and Adjusting Beauty likes it too, so I got that version. Pearl is a brightening version and I tend to love all such formulas. I'll report back when I try them.

*THE BODY SHOP Body Butter
Fall for Pumpkin/Vanilla Pumpkin 
I've already included these in my Autumn Picks post, where I praised both the scent and the texture. This scent was first released last year and it was highly praised, so I'm glad I had a chance to try it myself. It's not much what I expected because there's no pumpkin and also no spices like cinnamon, instead it's similar to their old almond scent which is mixed with a heavy dose of cookie vanilla, hazelnuts and maple syrup. It ends up like a cross between baby cosmetics and gourmand vanilla, which in time becomes a yummy scent that reminds me of Monte white. It's a warm and cosy scent that is great for colder months. Texture of this version is like Satsuma's, meaning creamy, easy to spread and also very nourishing. What can I say - TBS really knows how to make great scents, I like almost all of them.

This has the same delectable scent as the body butter and I love the texture of it too. It's so rich and creamy, just a joy to use. Despite being a thick formula it foams well and washes off completely.

BATH & BODY WORKS Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Nourishing Hand Soap

I have one of BBW autumnal hand sanitizers so I know they know to make the best cinnamon scent and I expected the same from this version, but I missed in this blind purchase, though I can't say it's a bad scent. It's not a gourmand that I wanted, instead it's one of more "fruity" smelling scents with a strong emphasis on pumpkin and not much cinnamon. It's a bit like apple scented soaps we have here, but not quite (we don't have pumpkin stuff) and it has a touch of spice, just not cinnamon . Texture is a classic creamy soap and it foams well, but it's not nourishing and I need a moisturiser after as with most regular liquid soaps.

DOVE Shower Gel Sensitive Skin Micellar Water 

Micellar water technology is spreading to shower gels and shampoos. I've been a fan of Dove shower gels which are not really gels, but rich creams for years and this is  one of their more gel-like formulas, but it's still quite a rich formula. Scent is creamy clean and bit fresher than their original scent. I thought I wouldn't like it at first, but under a shower it's quite nice.

Coffee & Almond and Coffee & Coco

Did I just spend 2 € for small bags of salt mixed with coffee? Yes, I did. This is my first try at the coffee scrubs and I expected, well, more coffee particles, but here the primary scrubby bits is the salt. So as far as innovation goes, these are nothing much but scented packs of salt. There is some coffee mixed in it, which also turns the water brown and it gives it a strong coffee scent. The latter I unfortunately am not a fan of, but I thought I might just deal with it since these are something new. The coconut one has a very authentic scent of coffee with coconut, and that latter note is really so nice. The almond one, on the other hand, smells like a lemon-scented cleaner and coffee, so pretty much like an office early in the morning. I'd really suggest if you plan on trying these, even though it takes seconds to make them at home, you grab the coconut one because the scent is so much better.

I have a bath version from last year and I feel in love with the scent. It's by far the best apple scent I've smelled. It smells like proper apples and it's a great mix of tart and sweet notes, though I can't say I detect proper honey, but there's definitely some nice sweetness in it. I want the whole collection and it's definitely a scent that can be worn all year.

BATH & BODY WORKS Fragrance Mist Crisp Orchard Leaves 

This is a similar scent than Champagne apple Honey and another one I love. It's less sweet and fresher pear and apple scent with some musk, and it really reminds me of an orchard in autumn. It lasts surprisingly well for something fruity, though it's not exceptionally long-lasting.

BATH & BODY WORKS Fragrance Mist Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte

This is one of the most praised autumnal scents from BBW and though it says latter, I read in most reviews it's not a coffee smell. Well, my sensitive nose that hates coffee definitely notices the bitter coffee note from the start, but luckily this doesn't last long and what's left is a marshmallow scent that reminds me of how Pink Sugar smells after a while, but a much more toned down version of it. Actually this is the same scent as I'm sorry I'm latte hand sanitizer, but this fragrance has a noticeable coffee note.

 GARNIER Olia in 7.0 Mittelblond/Dark Blonde 

I wanted just a little bit of a change of hair colour, a shade or two lighter, really nothing much, though my wish since forever is honey blond and lately a nice balayage. I've always believed the ancient old wisdom every hairdresser preaches that box dye can't lift colour, it just deposits colour and on me you can't do anything without bleaching. I'm not terribly keen on doing a double-bleaching and toning on my hair just so I can put a light-medium brown shade on it, so I stayed off colouring for almost a decade after a series of bad bleaching & colouring job (hairdresser didn't use a toner on me back then, so you can imagine intense brassy result I had to live with until I put dark brown over it. It was so orange. Here's the only picture that exist of that time). But then I saw how wonderfully Garnier Olia lifted the colour from my mom's hair, who went from dyeing her hair dark chocolate brown to a light warm golden brunette, so I wanted to try it myself, convinced by the great results I've seen. I got myself a different shade called dark blond because I read on reviews it made someone's dyed blond hair slightly green, which means this has green tones in and those are necessary to prevent that reddish hue dark hair gets when it's lightened (mom's shade is 8.3 Golden Bronze which looks very warm and I don't think warm would work on me). Olia's are capable of lifting the colour by two shades and the back of the box promises to work on dark brown hair (at least the German version, it says dunkelbrown, while the extra box I got in Leclerc says only brown). My hair was virgin, I used two boxes, so my hair was completely saturated with colour and when I washed it off, there was no visible difference, apart from on my temples where my hair is much thinner than my natural coarse texture. I got the two shades lighter result as promised - it actually looks like a pretty colour there. My mom's hair had layers of dark brown dye on it and another thing I always heard is that box dye never lightens dyed hair, regardless this worked on her, but my hair refused to be lightened by this. I hoped at least that the lightening still happened, but the colour deposit ended up too dark because that tends to happen with box dyes, so I washed my hair with a dandruff shampoo a couple of times and it washes it off a bit, but only the golden tone was revealed, while my hair is now only a half a shade lighter and just at the top. Also this is a very drying hair colour despite the oil. My hair felt hard and very dry, and the conditioner did not fix it at all, so I added another of my conditioners again, but still didn't achieve any softness. It kept absorbing Creatures the Monoi oil like a sponge every couple of hours and only Morroccanoil Intense Hydrating mask really fixed it. Even though it didn't lighten my hair, I also hoped that it'll at least make my colour more vibrant and glossy, but I also didn't get that shiny new hair effect, so I'm just not a fan of this formula. By the way this is an ammonia free colour.

I got two boxes from different places. The ones in Müller have the large 50 ml conditioner in a tube and a plastic bottle with a nozzle for applying the colour (useless, get the cheap dyeing kit with the pot and brushes instead. I got mine in Tedi for 2 € with three brushes), while the ones in DM and Leclerc have a small conditioner and no bottle.

*THE BRAZILLIAN Frizz Control Spray

This smells so good - it's got this a great sweet, tropical scent and I just love it. It's a spray that is used on freshly washed, still damp hair before drying and it promises to tame the hair. I have very unruly hair when I blow dry it, so I already use a lot of stuff to make it sleeker, including using a big round brush, but I still get some flyaways. This has a bit of hold to it, so it makes the hair a bit stiff, like using a mousse or a styling lotion. It managed to make my hair a bit smoother, but it worked better in combination with the spray mentioned bellow.

*CREATURES DE MONOI Shine Spray

This was love at first spray. It's very similar to Orofluido Sahara that I loved and it was discontinued a while ago and I was looking for a replacement ever since. It's a shine spray without alcohol, which is very rare and instead it's more like a light silicone-oil in a spray. This makes it not only a regular shine spray, but it also tames my hair and nourishes it a bit so I'm really liking this a lot. It's got the typical Creatures de Monoi scent of Monoi oil, which is tiare flower soaked in coconut oil.

Leaves and Mahogany Teakwood

These are in one way a disappointing purchase and in a another a brilliant one. First why I love it - I heard these are some of the most potent rooms spray, especially Mahogany Teakwood, which I heard you only need a spray or two and it fill the room with a lasting fragrance. I can confirm they are indeed super strong and very long lasting. You spray these and they can last for hours. Especially if you keep the doors closed, mahogany teakwood will lasts several hour. So in this respect I find these excellent, they are so much better than regular sprays which last 15 minutes tops. Now for the reason I find them disappointing - the scents. I got two of the most popular ones. Mahogany Teakwood is the most recommended one, while Leaves is the famous autumn favourite. Leaves is incredibly basic. It's exactly the same as any Airwick, Glade or even DM or the cheapest candles with that basic apple cinnamon Christmas scent. I am not a fan of those, I find them so boring because in winter they are everywhere in every shop that sells Christmas stuff, so the famous Leaves is nothing special. Mahogany Teakwood is a scent everyone describes it as a nice smelling man, which is a good way of saying it. Except everyone that smelled this in the house said it smells terrible. It smells like some men's shaving foam that I smelled before, I don't know the brand. The name describes it well a woody fragrance, but it's not as smooth as I hoped. It's sharper and just in general smells like a strongly scented men's cosmetics.

The cans are very small, only 42.5 g per can, so I overpaid them a lot (they cost 7.5$ in BBW), but they've come in so handy and I really find myself use them a lot. I only wish I'd pick different scents, maybe Fresh Linen and Pumpkin Pecan Waffle.

Palo Santo

I had my eye on this one for a while, both because it's so pretty and would make a great decor item on my vanity, but I also likes the sound of the notes, since I've developed a liking for woodsy notes. Despite very deceptive cutesy look, unlit this smells like fresh pine woods with notes on incense, but there is a little bit of soothing amber that tones down the freshness. Palo Santo is a tree that's used for making burning sticks and incense. Though I'm not a massive fan of the scent when it's unlit, I like how the scent develops where the candle is burning. The incense note is barely noticeable and all that's left is a smooth woody-amber fragrance. The candle costs an arm and a leg, but knowing me, this will last me a while and I get a super pretty pot once it's gone.

ESSENCE #insta perfect liquid make up

10 #cool porcelain

Essence finally came to their senses and started offering a foundation that comes in more than just a few light-medium shades (their usual ranges tend consist of a meagre four shades. They should expand concealer shades next). The new #insta perfect foundation somewhat "dupes" Mac's Face & Body in terms of packaging and is available in 9 shades that actually include a very pale shade and some deep ones as well. They finally have a colour that I can wear too, in fact I find 10 #cool porcelain perhaps a touch too light, though it matches my neck perfectly. It's a foundation that reminds me most of Mac's Face and Body, as well as Maybelline Fit Me Luminous, though the latter has more coverage. It's a light coverage foundation, light-medium at best, though it is buildable and doesn't get cakey at all, but still I haven't been able to build it up all the way to a proper medium-full. Finish is not as described "strong matte", instead it's a very natural looking foundation with a semi-matte finish and I still see my natural skin texture shining through. It's not a foundation that someone with an oily skin will want to wear without a powder as it stays tacky for a long time. It blends and applies with ease, so it's the type of foundation that's quick to apply, but it's not the most long-lasting one on its own. I liked it from the start, but as soon as I switched to my old favourites (Healthy Mix/Serum and Maybelline Fit Me Matte) I saw it's not as pretty on the skin as others.

ESSENCE Stay Cool Llama Highlighter

I got this without trying a tester because they didn't have any, but I hoped that it's perhaps a bit similar to the great Good to Glow palette in terms of texture, just in a lighter shade. Unfortunately this is very subtle highlighter, though you see the glow just fine in strong light, but it doesn't create that very luminous effect. There are three shades in this: a gold, a pink and a cool toned off-white, which all mix into a peachy looking shade with a glow. The texture is not chalky and it applies smoothly, but I wish it were softer. Honestly, Essence has done much better highlighters. It does look so cute, though.

ESSENCE Metal Chrome Eyeshadow 

01 Zink About it and 02 Ironic

I heard raves about this, most notably from Adjusting Beauty who's already posted a review of these. I got Catrice's version first which is a very similar texture. These are very creamy powder eyeshadows with a metallic effect and I picked the two shades that look most wearable, a rosy bronze 01 Zink About it and an old gold shade 02 Ironic. They swatch beautifully - very opaque and creamy with a strong shiny finish, and similarly to Catrice the surface dents under pressure. But, as nice as these are and I'm glad Essence finally offered something like this in our drugstores, I'm not in love with these. There are a couple of reasons, number one is that unless I use a creamy eyeshadow base under it, I get a super shimmery look with visible chunks everywhere, but the colour itself is too sheer on the lids unless I use a base (maybe it's just me with this problem because I saw these look amazing on others). Second this is that they crease during the days, which doesn't happen often on my normal eyelids. I thought I was going to adore 02 Ironic, however, on my lids it looks too washed-out gold, so I prefer 01 Zink About you which is that basic Satin Taupe like colour. I like them as a topper, but they're not amazing without a base. Maybe I need to get through the top layer or something.

ESSENCE Soft Contouring Lipliner

08 big proposal

This is my third shade of these and I already have a review of the other two if you're interested in how they perform, but these are some of my favourites. This new version is less creamy than the previous, so they last longer and are a lot more precise, but  despite the waxier texture they are not drying. I got this shade after seeing it at Adjusting Beauty. Of course this shade looks completely different on my neutral pale skin tone than on her very warm one, but I expected that and it's still the type of shade I'll use a lot. It's a muted light-medium peachy-pink that leans more to peach on me and it's a great defining colour that looks natural, so it can be used to cheat the lip line.

CATRICE Metal Sensation Ultra Creamy Eyeshadow

040 Mauve Browntown 

Both Catrice and Essence added these metallic cream-to-powder eyeshadows to their regular lines. This formula feels even creamier than Essence's and I've made a large dent in it by using it every day for a couple of weeks . Compared to Essence this shade is also a bit less shimmery and somewhat sheerer when I swatch it, but it's got about the same level of pigmentation once on the eyes, meaning it's semi-opaque/medium. Best way to apply this is with fingers as I find the brush just doesn't pick up well. I need to layer it for a metallic effect, but in a thick layer, this unfortunately creases fast. I love the texture, how nice it applies and blends, however it's already a bit too creamy, so it moves too much on the lids. 040 Mauve Browntown is a Mac Satin Taupe kind of shade, so as the name says a mauve brown.

*BOURJOIS Lip Duo Sculpt

04 Plum'Set Beach and 06 Rouge Tango

Bourjois launched their version of ombre lipsticks which are available in 6 shades. They combine two shades in a 2:1 ratio with which you should easily be able to create an ombre effect. It does work, but due to weaker pigmentation it takes a few swipes to really build up a fully opaque layer and you need to be very careful at how you place the lipstick on the lips again for the second swipe. Formula is creamy and comfortable with a creamy shiny finish. The lipsticks are a bit small for my lips and while granted they should be slightly smaller anyway so you can create a mixed ombre layer in the middle and not just have a line there, I'd like to see them just a millimetre wider because they now I ruin the ombre if I want to apply it all over my lips. I got two of their brightest shades:

 04 Plum'Set Beach - to me a truly weird combination of shades, a plum and tomato red, which is supposed to look like a sunset. The plum is much less pigmented than the tomato red, so it ends up looking really strange.

06 Rouge Tango - combines a deep and light shade of neutral red. It's a better combination than 04, but still I think the ombre look just does not look good on me and I don't feel it optically makes my lips plumper.

*RIMMEL Maxi Blush

003 Wild Card

Rimmel released three shades of these Maxi Blushes in Slovenia recently, other two are #004 Sweet Cheeks, a peach, and #006 Exposed, which is a very interesting neutral beige-dusty rose looking shade. Wild Card is quite a deep shade and I need to be very careful with it because it's too much almost with one swipe, so if you have a deeper skin tone, this will work great on you. It's a muted deep peachy-pink shade which on my cheeks looks like a strong warm pink. Texture could be a bit silkier, but I have such a dark shade that any texture is very unforgiving if you don't spend extra time blending it. I loved the look of Exposed in the shop, so I might go get that one.

*RIMMEL Stay Satin Liquid Lip Colour

130 Yuppie and 400 Obsession

After the matte versions which I find are fantastic from the selection in our drugstores, Rimmel launched the Satin version which will please especially those who like liquid lipsticks, but find matte versions too drying. I can't compare these to anything else I own, Revlon's Ultra HD dry differently and Coulourpop's Satins are matte, so these are something new in my stash. Formula is a mix between a cream and a mousse, they are fully opaque, but need a more careful application because the pigment shifts on the lips. They don't have the super comfortable feel of Revlon's Ultra HD, but they aren't drying at all as they are setting. They set to a proper satin finish - these really are true to the name and I like it. My main complaint with these is that they remain sticky for quite a while and they never dry completely, meaning they transfer. Staying power is comparable to a long lasting regular matte-satin lipsticks. 130 Yuppie is a lovely muted light-medium peachy-pink, a perfect mix of the two tones and I already like it a lot, even though I'm not that happy with the formula compared to the Matte ones. 400 Obsession is my fifth thousandth warm hot pink that every PR seems to send me (forgive me for saying this). Four shades out of fourteen are sold in our drugstores: #130 Yuppie, #200 Sike, #210 It Girl in #400 Obsession.

NIVEA Shower Oil Natural

I got this instead of the Aveo one which I normally buy because I couldn't get to a drugstore and I think I actually like it more even though it's costs twice as much. The formula is thicker, so I end up using it a lot less and one bottle lasts much longer. It also works better for shaving and leaves my skin softer than it's ever been (I really like that about it). The scent is equally bland as at Aveo which I count as a minus, though it's not a bad scent, just like a natural oil.

A repurchase of these two. They are affordable, come in big bottles if you buy them in Spar and these two are some of my favourite scents among shower gels. Cherry Blossom is a baby powdery floral type of scent and Perfume Drops smells like a sweet oriental fragrance.

BATH AND BODY WORKS Fine Fragrance Mist 

Amber Blush

I'm a big fan of these, so I wanted to expand my collection and this was one I picked based on notes and reviews I read because I can't test these in person. It's similar to Paris Hilton's Can Can fragrance, which I used up a bottle of a couple of years back. It starts with a strong sweet raspberry syrup burst which mellows down in the first minutes and creates a smoother mix with the base notes. Amber is most prominent from the base, the rest which are suede, sandalwood and wood are weaker, but make the amber smoother. I detect no vanilla or star anise that are mentioned in the notes. It's a nice one, but not unique like Twilight Woods. 

Top notes: bergamot, mandarin orange, raspberry and champagne

Heart notes: jasmine, gardenia, star anise, apricot and magnolia

Base notes: vanilla, suede, crystal amber, sandalwood and musk.

BATH AND BODY WORKS Fine Fragrance Mist 

Brown Sugar & Fig

I quickly feel in love with this scent and it's already been in my last favourites. It's starts with a brown sugar burst which is quickly followed by a very comforting milky, creamy scent which creates this sweet, but very comforting combination, like a warm milk with sugar but mixed with a clean skin scent. It's such a delightfully fragrance, I'm very glad I picked it. I detect no fig in this, not even in leaves form and some mentioned, so it's just a rounded creamy, milky scent. Great stuff! 

Top notes: passion fruit, california fig, white flowers, white peach and bergamot

Heart notes: vanilla orchid, jasmine, yellow freesia, lily-of-the-valley and coconut milk

Base notes: vanilla pod, amber, fig leaf, musk, maple and caramel.

Twilight Woods

I'm a huge fan of this one and I consider it my favourite scent since I got it, so I got a spare. It's a very feminine take on the wood notes which are the centre of attention here pretty much from the start. There's so berry notes just at the start, but they are actually a lot more noticeable in the Ultra Shea moisturiser than in the Mist. This fragrance makes me wish more women's fragrance focused on the comforting, smooth wood notes instead of generic vanilla, praline and patchouli combination (which is everything from La Vie est belle to Flowerbomb)

Chestnut & Argan

This was a last addition to my shopping basket because In the Sun was out of stock and I decided to skip Bali Blue Surf even though it's bloody amazing, but summer was at an end and that's a very fresh summery scent. Chestnut & Argan is absolutely nothing like its name, the combination is enigmatic anyway and the notes say "a feminine blend of chestnut, argan, sandalwood & musk". It starts with a strong sweet note, which could be chestnut, but it's not how real chestnuts smell, it's more candy-like. It settles to a sweet & creamy sandalwood scent and in time it's a more sandalwood-musk combination. It's a scent that's already been discontinued, but Amazon and Notino still have it.

ESCENTRIC MOLECULES Molecule 01

I had a "dupe" for this a couple of years ago from eBay (the "molecule" is the cheap ISO E Super) which I ended up not liking because it smelled like nothing (to me and anyone else smelling me), but I decided to give the original a go to see if it's as good as the hype says. I still find a full size bottle a rip off, so I got just a sample. It's the same as the ISO E Super I got from eBay, but stronger and much longer lasting. Still it's underwhelming, a basic water-like scent. I just don't get this stuff or at least my body chemistry doesn't.

BODY FANTASIES Signature Twilight Mist Fragrance Body Spray 

I never thought I'd see these here in Slovenia. I've know them from Fragrantica because Coconut Fantasy was mentioned as a dupe for Bath & Body Works At the Beach. Well this Twilight version is a 95% dupe for BBW Twilight Woods. It's a bolder version of it, as it's a bit sharper at the start and it's not quite as cosy soft because of it, but it's close. So if you're interested in how Twilight Woods smells like or you'd like something very similar or you're just looking for something affordable and almost as good as a perfume, this is a nice one.

Sweet Passion

I always like passion fruit in products and this is no exception. It's a classic candy-like passion fruit scent Balea usually makes. For some reason this version felt watered down when I used it (just once so far), I hope it was just because my skin was too wet. These are usually really good.

Dove stopped working on me, so I'm switching again. It's got a sharp-powdery clean fragrance and so far works great. Let's hope it stays that way.

ESSENCE I love my brushes cleansing tool

I finally remembered to buy this. It's rough texture helps the brushes to get clean more effectively. I've used it just once so far and while it's nothing special nor it doesn't make the brushes any more clean, it beats using the palm of my hand to wash brushes.

EBELIN Polierfile

I've been using this for years to polish my nails and mostly the tips. It's got three textures, two are very fine, non-harsh files and one side is just a smooth, final polish side. If I use it all over my nails, like for example when my nails look yellow because of the nail polish, I get a very smooth result that looks close to applying a clear nail polish. I don't do it often though, so I don't thin the nail too much, so I mostly use it on the tips to smooth them out.

*MOROCCANOIL Ceramic Round Hair Brush 55 mm

I got one more item to try from Moroccanoil and it's another winner. This brand is just blowing my mind, especially the mask, which after I washed my hair with the cheap stuff again a couple of times, I can definitely say is miles better than any drugstore stuff as well as most of the high-end stuff. I've been very loyal to my Ebelin ceramic brush which is just fine, but this Moroccanoil beats it in several ways. For one it makes the hair smoother and tames the frizz better. The other is that it also dries my hair much faster, but that got a lot to do with the larger size than Ebelin's. If only I'd known how good these brushes can be if you invest a bit more, I'd gotten it ages ago.

EBELIN Eyelash Curler

It's a rather pointless to put this here because I just saw they don't have them an more, but it could have just been a rose gold LE and the regular Ebelin Eyelash Curler has the same design. I'm not very happy with it, as compared to my trusted Shiseido it just doesn't create such a lift and it feels somewhat rigid. On a plus side it doesn't pinch or rip lashes like Manhattan's I had ages ago. When it comes to curlers I really suggest you invest in a good one and don't got for the cheap stuff. Mine is going to end up as a prop for pictures because it's useless.

My standard repurchase. I just got it today because there's an 1+1 offer in DM. I love the creamy texture of these and this version of the scent is just divine. It doesn't smell anything like described - coconut milk or jasmine petals, so it's hard to describe the scent in any other way than it's clean, but comfortingly and even a bit elegantly sweet.

Another of my standard repurchases I got today. I still use it daily and it's the only liner I've used in about a year. It's very black, glides with ease on the lids and lasts all day. One thing I've noticed twice so far - some bottles have a less black, sheerer formula than others. So weird and it annoys me because originally this is the best formula ever.

This is the other DOVE Shower Gel I got for that 1+1 offer and it's the new Micellar Water one. I only washed my hands with it and I don't like the sharp clean scent. The texture is a creamy gel instead of a creamy lotion like their usual pampering range. 

I got GARNIER Olia in 7.0 Mittelblond/Dark Blonde because I have this urge to lighten my hair just a bit, but I'm not sure if I'll really take the plunge or just chicken out and give this box to mom, who uses Olia in a deeper shade. My hair is dark brown and there weren't many lighter/lightening colours in Müller I could choose from (at least from the recommended colours I found online) but I know from mom's experience Olia lightens well. I'm already concerned I didn't get enough, but at L'Oreal's Casting Creme Gloss one box was more than enough. Anyway if I massively screw up I have a whole drawer of Subrina's hair colours, some in my natural shades to fix me up (I'd use one of those, but none lighten such dark hair as mine).

ECOTOOLS Precision Blush Brush is my second such brush from this brand. It's not tapered like my old one, but the sizes are about the same. I haven't used it yet, but it feels super soft.

I've only opened SKINFOOD Black Sugar Honey Mask Wash Off to smell it and my word does it smell divine! It's like proper honey, like that L'Occitane honey scent they discontinued years ago. The original Black Sugar is amazing, so I'm hoping I'll like this version too. Scent certainly wins already.
